The Roberts Block building is a rehabilitation project of a 1916 structure with a commercial ground floor and four apartments on the second floor. Despite the building’s declined state there were many features to capitalize on including decorative tile work, ornate metal cornices and brackets, brick pilasters, stately pediments, and a unique terracotta cornice.
The building faces the Glenside Train Station and when built it undoubtedly served as an elegant mixed-use hub between the tracks and the surrounding neighborhood, and our renovation was intended to renew that role.
